Organization profile
The Department of Education of the UCU focused on the challenges that education poses at a local and international level, assuming its complexity and the horizon in the educational transformations that seek more excellent quality, equity, inclusion, and welfare.
This implies a plural and interdisciplinary construction in dialogue with diverse educational communities and actors of society as a whole, reflecting the commitment that the UCU has maintained in education since its origins.
The department seeks to build educational research of quality and relevance, following open science criteria, to address the goals and significant challenges that education poses. The research lines and projects of the members of the department contribute from different approaches and perspectives in four relevant thematic areas: a) Initial teacher training and professional development; b) Learning: environments, practices, and dynamics; c) Coexistence, well-being, and educational inclusion; d) Pedagogical leadership and educational management. The aim is to contribute knowledge and experience that nurtures teaching and diverse training proposals.
