Organization profile
The Department of Humanities and Communication was created in March 2018. We aim to innovate and improve the teaching area in undergraduate and graduate humanities subjects, systematizing research and academic production lines and intensifying the link with the non-university community.
In order to achieve these objectives of teaching, production, and visibility, the department proposes transversal and interdisciplinary approaches based on the specificity of knowledge. For this reason, it has four autonomous institutes: the Institute of Philosophy, the Institute of History, Art and Heritage, the Institute of Society and Religion, and the Institute of Communication and Culture.
The professors and researchers of the department belong to one of the institutes. They work simultaneously on the specific topics of their area and general reflection on the role of the humanities in the University and society.
