Research interests

She is dedicated to research in the area of Entrepreneurship and MSMEs. Her main areas of interest in academic research are entrepreneurial attitudes of university students, entrepreneurship education, female entrepreneurship, MSMEs and digital transformation. She is the country leader of GUESSS in Uruguay. She is part of Latin American research groups on entrepreneurship education, entrepreneurship, family business, and MSMEs such as RLIE (Cladea's Latin American Network of Innovation and Entrepreneurship), collaboration with Universidad de Monterrey (México) TEC de Monterrey (México), The Business School, RMIT University (Vietnam), cooperation with the Tecnológico de Costa Rica; research project with Universidad Libre de Colombia and Unibe de México.

She is a Professor and researcher at the Catholic University of Uruguay. She holds a PhD in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Deusto, Spain. She has attended the Symposium for Entrepreneurship Educators at Babson College in the United States. She is a member of the National System of Researchers of the National Agency for Research and Innovation of Uruguay. She is a Doctoral thesis tutor at the UCA, Argentina. She is a member of juries and committees in national and international competitions and a reviewer of international journals. She was the Academic Secretary of the Faculty of Business Sciences, Director of the Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Director of Undergraduate Management and the Practicum Centre. She is currently a Senior Lecturer at the Ithaka Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation and the Department of Business and Management. She is Secretary General of the Catholic University of Uruguay.
