My research is framed in the area of psycholinguistics and addresses the relationship between language and cognition, as well as its possible applications in the area of education. Some of the research questions that guide my work are: How does language use influence the construction of concepts and categories? How are language production and comprehension related during language development? What is the relationship between narrative construction and executive functions? The methodology I use is diverse and includes behavioral experiments, computational models and statistical analyzes of linguistic corpuses.

Florencia Reali has a PhD in Psychology and is an associate professor in the Department of Neuroscience and Learning at the Catholic University of Uruguay. Previously, she worked as an associate professor in the Department of Psychology at the Universidad de los Andes, Bogotá, Colombia. She has a degree in Biology from the University of the Republic (Uruguay) and received her doctorate in Psychology (Psycholinguistics area) from Cornell University, Ithaca, NY (USA).
