Research interests

My research examines the relationships between law, society and democratic institutions, with a particular focus on the challenges posed by violence, memory, transparency and technological change. Adopting an interdisciplinary approach, I work at the intersection of the sociology of law, critical legal theory and sociological theory, addressing issues such as human rights, transitional justice, the rule of law, justice reforms, public policy and access to public information. I also investigate political and ethnic violence, human rights archives, conflict resolution and political negotiation. In recent years, I have expanded my research to include artificial intelligence and the digital humanities, exploring their implications for knowledge production, governance, justice and the protection of fundamental rights. My work seeks to bridge academic research, public policy design and the development of institutional responses to complex social challenges.
