Specialist in Gynecologic Oncology, accredited by the European Society of Gynaecological Oncology (ESGO), with a focus on minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. Member of the National System of Researchers (ANII). Assistant Professor (PIAD) at the Department of Medicine, Universidad Católica del Uruguay. Actively involved in clinical practice, research, and surgical education in gynecologic oncology.

My research interests focus on gynecologic oncology and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. I am a gynecologic oncologist accredited by the European Society of Gynaecological Oncology and actively participate in international networks such as ESGO and IGCS, promoting research and education. I develop research lines in sentinel lymph node detection using indocyanine green, evaluating its applicability, diagnostic accuracy, and oncologic outcomes across different surgical approaches. I am particularly interested in pelvic surgical anatomy and its impact on the safety and radicality of laparoscopic surgery. I participate in international multicenter studies, including the Pre-ANVU study (University of Queensland) and collaborations with MD Anderson, aimed at optimizing staging and treatment. At the national level, I am involved in projects on liquid biopsy in ovarian cancer and the study of amyloid in endometrial cancer. Additionally, I develop surgical education programs and continuing medical education initiatives.
