Research interests
Areas of interest: Film studies, audiovisual preservation, and audiovisual heritage. My current research is on studying home movies and amateur cinema from archival, media and communication perspectives. It focuses on case studies produced in Uruguay during the 20th century and, more precisely, on how these film materials have become archival objects. Additionally, it reflects on their impact on education and memory construction processes. My technical production consists of recovery, research, and digitization projects to preserve visual, audiovisual, and sound materials of historical and heritage value.
