Research interests

Her research interests are organizational communication (strategic communication, public relations) and organizational studies (critical organizational studies). Initially, she focused on studying the perspectives of organizational communication in Latin America and the development and impact of internal and external organizational communication in Uruguay. She is interested in the contribution of communication in managing organizational change and digital transformation, the study of public affairs, agendas, and pressure groups in constructing opinion, reputation, and citizenship. Recently, she has been researching organizational communication practices, sustainability, and greenwashing in companies and government institutions.

Personal profile

She holds a PhD in Communication from the University of Malaga (Spain) and a Master's in Communication from the Catholic University of Uruguay. She is a professor and researcher in the Department of Organizational Studies at the Catholic University of Uruguay and a consultant in organizational communication and public opinion. She has been Vice-Rector of Academic Programs, Dean of the Faculty of Human Sciences at the Catholic University of Uruguay, and creator of the first postgraduate programs in Organizational Change and Organizational Studies in Latin America and Organizational Communication in Uruguay. Until 2011, she was director of national and international projects on public opinion, organizational analysis, and political communication at the consultancy firm Cifra, González, Raga y Asociados (Uruguay). She is a member of the coordinating committee of the Red Latinoamericana de Investigación en Comunicación Organizacional (Latin American Network of Organizational Communication Research). She represents Uruguay in the Latin American Communication Monitor. She is president of the Uruguayan Association of Organizational Communication.
