Personal profile

Research interests

At the Institute of International Business (INI), I am responsible for research lines related to citizens' attitudes and preferences towards trade policies and integration processes. Several articles have been published on topics such as support for Trump in the United States and the Brexit, among others. Currently, we are incorporating other methodologies such as behavioral economics to assess this topic through experiments, in addition to surveys. I am also responsible for a new project related to the inclusion of environmental provisions in trade agreements using modern methodologies such as machine learning. In addition, I participate in research lines and projects on other topics such as economic integration (or disintegration as in the case of the BREXIT), international trade, globalization, sustainability and digitization in these processes, multilateralism, among others.
