Research interests

He is dedicated to researching in two thematic lines: competitiveness and well-being, and the internationalization of firms. The conceptualization of competitiveness and well-being as the ultimate goal of the competitive process, at the territorial level of regions or cities, has been his object in recent years. In particular, the study of the impact of certain variables of objective well-being, such as income, savings capacity, or occupation, and their impact on subjective well-being or life satisfaction of individuals. The other line of research aims to analyze the different internationalization strategies at the firm level in small and open countries: accelerated internationalization approaches versus gradual internationalization processes.
