Personal profile

I am a Registered Nurse (BSN), PhD. I hold a Master’s degree in Radiological Nursing and a Master’s degree in Palliative Care. In 2024, I earned my PhD in Biophotonics (UNINOVE, Brazil). I specialized in Radiation Oncology and was a pioneering nurse in this field in Uruguay, having worked in a Radiotherapy Clinic. I have been involved in oncology care for over 10 years, including actual work at the National Cancer Institute. In addition, I work as a nurse at the National Institute for Donation and Transplantation, drawing on my previous experience as a surgical nurse. I am a research professor at the Universidad Católica del Uruguay and Director of the Master’s Program in Palliative Care at the same institution. Since 2025, I have been a member of Uruguay’s National System of Researchers (ANII).
