Abstract

In this paper, the strategy of adaptive frequency response compensation is used to control a pilot plant heat exchanger. We first extend the results of [1] to a set of arbitrary frequencies, describing a procedure for designing adaptive controllers to meet a frequency domain specification given in terms of a desired open loop frequency response at a set of arbitrary frequencies. Then, this method is shown to work well in the experiments of controlling a heat exchanger.
