N2 - In the current globalized world, migratory movements have become a response, on the one hand, to situations of economic imbalance produced within the capitalist system and, on the other, to situations of persecution caused by various reasons. The massive migration of Cubans and Venezuelans to Uruguay, produced as of 2013, does not escape this reality. Cuba and Venezuela are going through a severe economic crisis, which has caused a massive outflow of their nationals. In the case of Venezuela, the departure of migrants from this country is also due to the pressing political and social situation, which has led to a massive departure of venezuelans abroad with dimensions never lived so far in Latin America. From the host societies of migrants it is necessary to carry out studies on the particularities of its integration for achieving better intercultural relationships and avoiding situations of marginalization and discrimination. It is necessary for the migrants to access a job in order to achieve integration in the host society. The purpose of this study is to present the results of an investigation carried out between 2017 and 2020 on the labor migration experience of Cuban and Venezuelan migrants in Uruguay. In order to adequately understand this experience, we rely on a quantitative and qualitative methodological approach, necessary to give scientific validity to the research carried out.
