N2 - This study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of a psychological intervention program designed to enhance sport psychological skills in athletes from the national team of the Peruvian Quadball (Quidditch) Sports Federation (FDPQ). A quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group was used. The sample included 16 athletes, divided into an experimental group (n = 8) and a control group (n = 8). The intervention comprised 17 sessions based on seven modules: attentional control, visualization, motivation, self-confidence, positive and negative energy regulation, and attitude. The Psychological Inventory of Sport Performance (IPED) was used as the main assessment instrument. Data analysis included paired-samples t-tests and Cohen’s d for effect size. Although no statistically significant differences were found between pretest and posttest scores, medium to large effect sizes were observed in self-confidence, positive coping, and attitudinal control. These findings suggest a qualitatively meaningful improvement in the psychological skills of the experimental group. The discussion highlights theoretical and practical implications for psychological interventions in alternative sports and recommends future research involving larger samples and longer training durations.
